Due to effective planning and successful negotiations by our BCPSOPE Negotiation Team in 2016, our members are enjoying a 2% salary increase for 3 years, from July 2016 to July 2018. This salary increase is in addition to the annual step increase.
As reminder, there was a decrease in the annual dues from $270 to $250! As a result, the deduction is $12.50 per paycheck. Many thanks go to the prudent financial management of the volunteers on the BCPSOPE Executive Board.
Negotiations started in September and will continue into 2017. Our lead negotiator Dan Capozzi and volunteers from BCPSOPE are meeting with the Board of Education regularly. Benefits are not on the table this year but salary and working conditions are.
