A change to the Cost of Living Allowance (COLA) language in our BCPSOPE Master Agreement is being made and we wanted to provide information to those who may not be familiar with Article XVI in the agreement.
BCPSOPE and other bargaining units were scheduled to receive a 2% increase on July 1, 2018.
Instead, BCPSOPE and other bargaining units will receive a 3% increase on January 1, 2019.
Per previous negotiation agreements, employees will receive an increase in salary step on July 1, 2018. Salary scales are located on the Office of Payroll website.
BCPSOPE projects in progress include a professional development initiative and planning for the annual meeting. We will advertise as soon as possible.
Negotiations for the 2019 – 2020 Master Agreement will begin late summer or early fall this year because compensation is eligible in addition to other articles in the agreement.
