This is a Call to Action!!! BCPS serves the needs of professional employees through a small group of people who volunteer their services. We need additional people to participate in our Bargaining Unit in order to continue to improve the benefits and working conditions of all BCPSOPE represented employees.
In accordance with the BCPSOPE Bylaws, nominations are being requested for the Executive Board which consists of:
- President
- Vice-President
- Secretary
- Treasurer
- Member at Large (minimum of 3)
Your skills are valuable and you can help shape the future! Responsibilities for elected Board positions are detailed in the Bylaws. If you are interested in any of the elected positions, please email bcpsope@outlook.com by June 1, 2016 declaring your intent.
If multiple nominations are received for any position, a vote will be conducted at the membership meeting that will be held on June 2, 2016. Candidates will be announced at the meeting.
If you are unsure about participating as an Officer or Member at Large, you may want to consider serving on a Committee. These are not elected positions.
If you would like to serve on a Committee, please email bcpsope@outlook.com and indicate which Committee you would like to join. Information on each Committee is outlined in the Bylaws.
